Vanderhoof Lutheran Church

Vanderhoof is located roughly 100 km west of Prince George, right in the geographical centre of British Columbia.

Since the beginning of August 1982, Vanderhoof Lutheran Church received a number of Vicars to serve them under the direction of the Pastors of Zion Lutheran Church. 

Vanderhoof Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church entered into an agreement for the Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church to also serve Vanderhoof Lutheran Church. This arrangement was formalized in September 2017, when the Dual Parish Agreement was signed.

Once a year, in September, our congregations celebrate a Dual Parish Worship Service at Vanderhoof Lutheran Church, followed by a Fellowship Picnic at the park.

Everyone from either congregation is invited to join the celebration; rides to and from Vanderhoof are shared, and food and refreshments are jointly provided by members of both congregations.
